God called Jonah for a specific purpose and had a plan for his life. Jonah didn’t like that plan…so he ran. Eventually, God gave Jonah a second chance to do what He had called him to do. How often do we resist God’s plans for our lives? And when He gives us a second chance, will we embrace the opportunity and follow where He leads? Sometimes, the second chance is where the real story begins.

We all have moments when we need a second chance—a fresh start or a new direction. Sometimes we need another opportunity because we've gotten ourselves into a difficult situation. Other times, life has handed us difficulties we never expected. At Flagstone, we believe in a God of Second Chances, and we invite you to join us on Sunday mornings in September as we look at the stories of Bible characters who were given another opportunity by God. We're going to discover that even when we fail, fear, struggle, or simply don't know what to do next, God isn't finished with us. He is still ready to give us a second chance.
