Holy Days - Day of Atonement

The Day of Atonement was one of the most important days on Israel's calendar. More than a reminder of sin, it was a powerful reminder of God's grace and His desire to bring forgiveness and restoration to His people. Today, we no longer look to sacrifices or rituals—we look to Jesus, whose sacrifice on the cross provides the atonement we all need.

Scripture References: Leviticus 16:7, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Leviticus 23:26-27, Isaiah 53:6, Hebrews 9:14, Luke 18:13, Romans 3:25, Hebrews 2:17, Leviticus 16:30, Ephesians 2:4, Leviticus 16:21, 1 John 5:17

From Series: "Holy Days"

Long before our modern calendars were filled with meetings and deadlines, God gave His people sacred days to remember—moments set apart to celebrate, reflect, and reconnect with Him. At first glance, those ancient rituals might seem distant or irrelevant. But what if they still have something to say to us today? Join us at Flagstone over the next several weeks as we explore these holy days and discover the timeless truths God still calls us to remember—truths that can shape our lives today.
