Anchored to Grace

We’ve become a self-reliant people. We tell ourselves we don’t need anyone—that we can handle life on our own. Or worse, we start to believe no one would want to help, accept, or love us anyway. So we stop expecting it. And when hard moments come, we feel completely alone. But God gives grace. He accepts us and loves us just as we are—no conditions, no hesitation. That’s the hope I can anchor to...if I choose to do so.

From Series: "Anchor Points"

Anchor points serve different purposes: workers use them to prevent falls, designers use them to guide their work, and sailors use them to keep boats from drifting. In the same way, God’s promises give us anchor points—truths that keep our hearts, perspectives, and goals steady and focused, so we don’t drift from Him. Over the next several weeks at Flagstone, we’ll explore some of these anchor points and discover how they can ground our actions, words, and thoughts in the truths that matter most.
