Attacking My Anxiety

We all experience stress and worry, and we all have ways of dealing with it. Some of us turn to breathing techniques or exercise, while others find relief through journaling or meditation. These can be helpful tools, but what if there’s another side to the battle against anxiety that we often overlook? God gives us spiritual weapons that go beyond simply calming our anxious thoughts. When worry threatens to steal our peace and weaken our faith, we need to recognize the spiritual battle taking place and learn how to fight back. What if I could learn to attack my anxiety instead of allowing my anxiety to attack me?

Of all the challenges we face on a regular basis, anxiety is one of the most common. Fear of the unknown, a lack of control, and feeling overwhelmed by our circumstances can leave us struggling with worry and despair. When anxiety attacks, we can feel defenseless and powerless to fight back. But God has given us strategies in His Word to help us go on the offensive against worry and fear. For the next few weeks at Flagstone, we’ll discover the weapons God gives us to attack our anxiety so we can conquer it instead of allowing it to conquer us.
