Designed to Handle Conflict

There are a variety of reasons that churches have found themselves in conflict from the seemingly ridiculous to the downright destructive. Satan has always been skilled at getting church families to focus on and fight each other over differences of opinion so that the growth of God's church can be stunted. The early church in Acts was no different. In the middle of growth and life-change, the church had to deal with internal conflict as well. What was the blueprint they used then for handling conflict? And how can their method of conflict management help us today?

Scripture References: Acts 6:2-4, Acts 6:7, Acts 6:1, Colossians 3:1-2, 2 Corinthians 8:11, Proverbs 21:5, 1 Peter 3:8, Philippians 2:14

From Series: "Blueprint: The Framework for a Healthy Church"

Just like the blueprints that builders and engineers use to get a clearer picture of what it is that’s being built, get a better understanding of certain features of the structure or machine, and get a clearer focus on goals that need to be accomplished, scripture also shows us a picture of God’s design for the church. This summer at Flagstone, we’re taking a closer look at God’s blueprint for His church as we walk through the first eight chapters of the book of Acts, and we want you to join us on the journey!
