//New Year, New Series! Join us this in person or online Sunday at Flagstone @10am!
We all have certain things that inspire us or get us excited, things that we don’t mind devoting lots of time, energy, and maybe even finances towards. We often describe this enthusiasm for a certain thing as something we “have a heart for.” At Flagstone we’re starting off the new year by giving ourselves a “heart check.” We’re taking an honest look at the things we are most devoted to and checking to see if we have a heart for the things our God is passionate about.

Flagstone Live | The Mess I Didn't Create

We all have different "messes" we have to deal with from time to time, especially when we make a hurtful choice or a wrong decision that becomes a problem of our own creation. But sometimes we find ourselves in the middle of a mess we didn't create. Someone else's choices, someone else's actions, or maybe just life itself causes us to find ourselves in the middle of a stressful or even hurtful situation that we might never have intended to experience. What do I do when I find myself in the middle of a mess I didn't make? And what can the story of the birth of Jesus teach me about dealing with problems I never expected?

Scripture References: 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, James 1:4, Deuteronomy 1:31, Hebrews 4:16, Matthew 1:18-19

From Series: "Messy Christmas"

We often have lofty expectations when it comes to Christmas - perfect decorations, fun parties and celebrations, just the right gift for that friend or family member. The reality is that our Christmases are often messy - travel plans don't work out, the gift that was delivered isn't the one we ordered, family isn't getting along, kids are sick or acting crazy...or both! Something that is supposed to be beautiful and peaceful ends up being ugly and chaotic and...messy. This Christmas we want to discover or (re-discover) the amazing story of the perfect Baby that was born into our imperfect world, the perfect Savior that came to rescue us from the messes we get ourselves into. We invite you to join us as we invite Him into our mess!
